MAY: Our Month of God's Goodness
30 Days of Basking: A Journey into the Father’s Goodness
Hello, Sisters!
Have you ever felt like you were surviving instead of basking? This month, we are switching our atmosphere. We aren't just reading about God's goodness; we are going to live in it.
Goodness is the character of God in action. He is good to all His creation, even to those who don't follow Him, by providing sunlight, rain, and the simple joys of life. So, for the next 30 days, we are going to train our hearts to see the "abundant goodness" He has stored up for us.
Our Daily Anchor
The Daily Routine
- Morning: Recite the Daily Declaration aloud to set the atmosphere.
- Mid-day: Take a "Goodness Break" (30 minutes) to acknowledge God's presence.
- Evening: Identify one specific "goodness moment" from the day and say, For He is good.
The 30-Day Goodness Roadmap
Week 1: Days 1–5 | The "Hidden" Treasure
- Your Focus: Psalm 31:19. God has goodness stored up for you.
- Your Action: Every evening, write down one "hidden blessing", a green light, a short line at the store, or a sudden peace. Acknowledge that God was thinking of you before you even woke up.
Week 2: Days 6–10 | The Shelter of Silence
- Your Focus: Psalm 31:20. Being hidden from the strife of tongues.
- Your Action: Practice a "Noise Fast." Take 5 minutes of total silence daily. If you hear gossip or negativity, don’t join in. Just whisper, "I am safe in the secret of His presence."
Week 3: Days 11–15 | Being Chased by Mercy
- Your Focus: Psalm 23:6. Goodness isn't just with you; it’s following (pursuing) you.
- Your Action: Expect divine coincidences this week. Instead of "hustling" for results, watch how God brings the right people or information to you.
Week 4: Days 16–20 | The Sacrifice of Thanksgiving
- Your Focus: 1 Chronicles 16:34. Giving thanks because He is good, regardless of the news.
- Your Action: A "No-Complaint" Challenge. For these 5 days, if you feel a complaint coming on, stop and say, “Lord, I thank You, for You are good!" Watch how your perspective changes.
Week 5: Days 21–25 | Overflowing Grace (The 'Pente' Step)
- Your Focus: The Greek word Pente (Five) Believe for More than Enough.
- Your Action: Be a conduit of goodness. Intentionally do something kind for another sister, maybe a text of encouragement or a small gift. You have an abundance; share it.
Week 6: Days 26–30 | Establishing Your Dwelling
- Your Focus: Psalm 23:6. Dwelling in His house forever.
- Your Action: Look at your future. Declare that this month isn't a one-time thing, but the new rhythm for your home and your children. And take this last week of may to just dwell more in Gods presence. Let Him speak instead I will encourage. You just rest there.
