Bloom Where God Has Placed You — Embracing Your Season

IWM Devotional: Bloom Where God Has Placed You — E
mbracing Your Season

Scripture: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” — Colossians 3:23–24 (NKJV)

Word for Today

This Is Not a Call to Stay Where God Is Not. As we close this series, Sisters it’s important to bring balance and clarity. Faithfulness is powerful, but faithfulness does not mean remaining in a place that is abusive, spiritually unhealthy, or one God has clearly released you from. God is not honored by harm, confusion, or fear.

However, before making a decision to leave, please pause. Pray honestly. Examine your heart with humility. Ask God what He may be forming in you during this season. Seek wise counsel. Check your motives with truth and grace.

Sometimes God moves us. Other times, God matures us before He moves us. And maturity always begins with faithfulness.

Faithfulness, as we’ve seen throughout this series, looks like showing up when you are not noticed, serving when you are not applauded, giving your best when the work feels small, remaining teachable when correction is uncomfortable, guarding your heart from comparison, discouragement, and offense. Faithfulness is choosing obedience over convenience.

And here is the promise, dear sister, God never ignores a faithful woman. He sees. He records. He rewards. Not hurriedly, not carelessly, but in His perfect time and in His perfect way. Jesus Himself reminds us, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.” (Matthew 25:21)

No, this isn’t some far-off promise. It is a personal assurance. Every unseen act of obedience matters to God. And nothing offered to Him is wasted.

So continue to be faithful. Continue to serve with a pure heart. The Lord who sees in secret will one day speak over you, “Well done.”

Before concluding that the place is wrong, you can take time to ask yourself:

  •  Have I given this season my whole heart?
  •  Have I honored God with excellence here?
  •  Have I grown, or have I only stayed busy?
  •  Have I allowed offense or disappointment to speak louder than God?
Sisters, Faithfulness attracts grace, it opens doors no connection can open, qualifies you for more. Scripture reminds us, “A faithful person will abound with blessings.” — Proverbs 28:20a. So wherever God has placed you, be faithful, serve well, grow deeply, love sincerely, give your best.

When God sees faithfulness, He releases increase. And when it is time to move, He Himself will move you.

Personal Reflection
  • When challenges arise, do I pause to pray and reflect before considering a change?
  • Is there any offense, discouragement, or disappointment I need to surrender to God today?
  • What fruit might God be growing in me through this season—patience, humility, faithfulness, or maturity?
  • If God were to increase my responsibility tomorrow, what areas of faithfulness would He want strengthened today?

Prayer
Father, Help me to be faithful where You have placed me. Search my heart, refine my posture, and teach me to serve You with excellence and humility. I trust You to order my steps in Your perfect time. Amen.

What is one intentional step you can take this week to be more faithful where God has placed you?
