Bloom Where God Has Planted You 1

IWM Devotional: Bloom Where God Has Planted You 1

Scripture: Luke 16:10 (NKJV) “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”

Word for Today

There is a quiet discipline God is calling many women back to in this season, the discipline of faithfulness. Not faithfulness when everything is exciting, not faithfulness when we are celebrated, not faithfulness only when the results are visible. But faithfulness where God has placed us.

Many women are praying for “more,” yet neglecting what is already in their hands. We ask God for a new space, a new church, a new platform, a new opportunity, without first asking ourselves an honest question, “Have I truly been faithful where God placed me?”

Many times, things don’t “work” not because the place is wrong, but because we stopped paying attention, stopped giving our best, or stopped serving with our whole heart. We compare ourselves with others. “It’s working for her.”, “She’s growing there.”, “God is blessing them, but not me.”

But before concluding that the place is wrong, God often invites us to look inward.

Have I been fully present or just attending, teachable or defensive, committed or casual, serving or spectating, consistent or easily offended?

Faithfulness doesn't make noise, it simply show up, unseen, and deeply tested. Yet it is the currency God responds to. Scripture shows us a clear pattern, God tests faithfulness before He releases fruitfulness. David was faithful with sheep before he ruled a nation.

Ruth was faithful in obscurity before she entered legacy. Joseph was faithful in prison before he stood in the palace.

None of them rushed their season, none of them blamed the place, they became the right person in the right place, and God did the rest.

The truth is this, If we are not faithful in one place, changing locations will not change the outcome.

Unfaithfulness travels, offense follows, inconsistency relocates with us.

Personal Reflection

  1. Where has God currently placed me spiritually?
(In my church, fellowship, ministry, workplace, or season of life.)

  2. How have I been showing up in this place, fully present or partially engaged?

  3. In what ways have I been faithful here, even if no one noticed?
(Consider service, prayer, consistency, attitude, and obedience.)

  4. Have I allowed comparison with others to affect my commitment or joy in this place?
If yes, what is God gently showing me about my own journey?

Comments

  1. I really thank God for this message. God really spoke to me through this.

My dear Gift, don't be discouraged by numbers and attitude. God is working and everything is happening as God has ordained it to happen. It's is well. Keep focusing on God and not on man.
    God bless you richly.
