Salvation: What God Has Done
IWM Devotional: Salvation: What God Has Done
Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16
Word for Today
Salvation is not a sudden idea. It was a promise. From the very beginning, God spoke of a Savior. Through the prophets, through generations, through waiting hearts, God promised that help was coming. Jesus was that promise. The One God told us about. The answer to humanity’s brokenness. The fulfillment of God’s love made visible.
All through the Bible, we see a God who moves toward people, not away from them. In the Garden of Eden, after Adam and Eve failed, God went looking for them. When humanity wandered, God kept pursuing. He never stopped reaching.
Jesus came as the promise fulfilled. He stepped into the world with compassion, truth, and grace. He healed the hurting, welcomed the rejected, forgave sinners, and restored dignity to the broken. He showed us what the Father is like. On the cross, Jesus carried what separated us from God so that we could be brought back into relationship with Him. When He rose again, He opened the door to new life.
One of the clearest pictures of salvation is the story of the prodigal son. A son walked away, lost everything, and returned expecting rejection. Instead, the father ran toward him, embraced him, and restored him fully. That is the heart of God, that is salvation.
Today, Jesus is still that promise. His arms are open right now. Salvation means forgiveness, peace with God, a fresh beginning, and the assurance that you are deeply loved. This love is not fragile, and it is not temporary. Let no one rob you of this love. Not fear, not shame. Not voices that say you are too far gone. What God offers is real, secure, and for you.
If you have never received Jesus, this moment is for you. Please say this prayer with me.
Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and the promise God made. I believe You gave Your life for me and rose again. I confess that I need You. I receive Your forgiveness, Your love, and the new life You offer. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I choose to walk with You. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer today, we celebrate with you. You are not alone, and this is just the beginning. Let no one rob you of the love you have just received. And i can assure, you just made the best decision.
