Word for Today

Let’s pause for a moment and reflectwhat does it mean to be transformed by His presence. Transformation is more than change. It is a deep, internal work that begins when the Spirit of God moves in the hidden places of our hearts. It is the gentle, yet undeniable, reshaping of our thoughts, our desires, our habits, and ultimately, our very lives. And the most powerful agent of this transformation is not circumstance. It is not success, recognition, or even knowledge. It is His presence, the living, breathing, all-knowing, all-loving presence of God that draws us closer and begins to remake us from the inside out.

You see, many of us live with a gentle longing, as if a part of us is incomplete. We try to fill it with busyness, approval, or accomplishments. But true transformation begins only when we stop reaching outward and start leaning inward, into the the very arms of the One who sees us fully, knows us completely, and also loves us unconditionally.

To be transformed by His presence is to allow God to see every hidden corner of your life, the fears, the doubts, the habits you think no one notices, and gently bring healing. It is to let His light touch the places you’ve tried to hide, the wounds you’ve carried, and the brokenness you’ve silently endured.

And transformation rarely happens at once. Often, it is hushed. Sometimes it looks like a softened heart in a moment of anger. Sometimes it looks like patience where there was once frustration. Sometimes it looks like grace flowing from your lips where pride once spoke. Every small change, every surrendered thought, the manner in which you treat and connect with people is evidence that His presence is at work in you.

This morning, the Lord is gently calling you closer, do not rush past His presence. Sit with Him, rest in Him, speak to Him honestly, and then, most importantly, listen. Let Him touch you. Let Him guide you. Let Him transform the way you see yourself, the way you see others, and the way you walk through this world.

You know, i was studying the life of David some days back again, and i noticed something very powerful. David was a man after God’s own heart. He didn’t just encounter God occasionally; he lingered in His presence through prayer, worship, and obedience. And the world could see it, his spirit, his courage, his joy, his integrity, they all bore the mark of a life transformed by God. (1Samuel 16:12 & 1Samuel 16: 16-18).

And let's also consider Moses, whose face shone after meeting with God on Mount Sinai (Exodus 34:29-35). The glory of God was so evident on him that the Israelites could see it; it was a reflection of God’s presence dwelling in him. Also, Stephen, who's full of grace and the Holy Spirit, radiated God’s presence even as he faced death. His boldness, wisdom, and love were undeniable because he was rooted in the Spirit. (Acts 6:5-8).

Even the apostles, after Pentecost, were transformed in ways that could not be ignored. They went from fearful men (John 20:19), hiding behind locked doors to bold witnesses (Acts 2), whose lives and faces reflected Christ Himself.

Ladies, when God’s presence dwells in you, transformation is visible, not always flashy, but unmistakable. It shows in your patience when tested, your words in times of conflict, your joy in the midst of trials, and your love for the unlovable. That is the glow that comes from Christ living in you. I don’t know about you, but I’ve discovered the kind of glow that can only come from God being with someone.

So today, stop and simply speak to God. Say it, and ask,“Lord, let me dwell in Your presence. Transform me from the inside out. Let my life reflect You in every thought, every action, every word.”

There’s a Nigerian gospel minister I deeply respect, Minister Kaestrings. In one of his songs that I love, he sings, “Let it show that I met with You.” Listen to it, you’ll feel the truth in it.

This, I believe, should be our daily prayer as women, that the presence of God we encounter would transform us so visibly that it shows in all we do. Let our words, our actions, and even the way we carry ourselves reflect that we have met with Him. True transformation by His presence isn’t hidden, it glows through us, a living testimony that Christ lives in our hearts.

And trust that as you remain, as you stay with Him, step by step, hour by hour, your life will radiate His glory. Others will see Christ in you, sometimes before you even say a word. Because i believe that transformation isn’t just internal, it should be observable

And i want to not just encourage, but plead with you, to keep dwelling. Let it lead you closer to the woman God designed you to be.

Prayer

Lord, let me dwell in Your presence today. Transform my heart, my mind, and my life, so that I reflect Your glory in all I do. Amen.
