Word for Today
Happy New Month Sisters, welcome to March. This month, we are not tiptoeing. We are not holding back. We are not waiting for permission either. We are walking in authority. So, let’s have an honest conversation. Many of us know God has given us authority. We quote it, post it, say, “I receive it.” But when opposition rises, fear, intimidation, delay, spiritual resistance, we step back instead of stepping forward.
Authority unused is authority surrendered. From the very beginning, God created woman in His image and gave her dominion (Genesis 1:27–28). Dominion was never gender-specific. It was God-ordained. And just in-case you do not know this before now, woman. You were not created to merely survive life, you were created to steward, to build, to nurture, to guard, and to govern. Then Jesus reinforced it, “I give you authority…” (Luke 10:19)
Heads-up, He didn’t say, “I might.” He didn’t say, Only if you feel strong. He said, I give. Authority is not based on your mood. It is based on His Word. But here is where many women struggle, we know the Scripture, but we hesitate to exercise it. We pray softly when we should pray boldly. We tolerate what we should rebuke. We overthink when we should declare.
Walking in authority means, When fear whispers, you answer with truth. (1 John 4:4). When the enemy plants lies, you take those thoughts captive. (2 Corinthians 10:3–5), When opposition rises in your home, your body, your calling, you stand. Authority is not aggression, it is alignment with Heaven. It is understanding that the Greater One lives in you. It is recognizing that your prayers shift atmospheres.
It is knowing that when you speak according to God’s Word, Heaven backs you.
A woman who knows her authority does not panic when storms rise in her home. She may feel the pressure, but she does not let the pressure rule her. She does not allow situations to define her children’s future. She does not sit back while the enemy writes the story of her marriage. She does stand.
Imagine a mother who sees her child going in the wrong direction. Instead of fear speaking, she speaks life. Instead of complaining, she prays with authority. Instead of saying, “That’s just how it is,” she declares, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” That is a woman walking in authority.
Think briefly of the movie War Room. I don't know if maybe you've seen it, but if you've not, i will encourage you to. The wife in that story / movie realized her family was falling apart. Instead of fighting her husband, or blaming situations, she learned to fight in prayer. She stepped into her authority in Christ, went into her prayer closet, and began to stand for her home. She did not allow the enemy to destroy her family without resistance. And restoration began.
Authority ladies, does not mean shouting. It means knowing who you are in Christ and standing your ground. In the coming days, we will look at specific areas where a woman can exercise her authority, in her marriage, over her children, in her mind, in her home atmosphere, and even over her future. This is not about control. It is about spiritual responsibility.
So, this month, we are moving from just knowing to exercising. No more Surface-level prayer. No more silent endurance. No more spiritual hesitation. You are a woman of dominion, a woman of spiritual influence. You are a woman backed by Heaven. And March will respond to the authority you walk in.
I will be dropping this Month’s Charge below, do not just read the declarations. Declare them. Do not just agree quietly. Speak them. Do not just believe internally. Exercise your authority daily. Because your home needs it, your calling needs it, and your future needs it.
You need it.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the authority You have given me. Forgive me for the times I have known it but not exercised it. This month, teach me to stand boldly. Help me silence every opposing voice, take captive every wrong thought, and walk confidently in dominion. I will not shrink back. I will not be intimidated. I will walk in the authority of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Now, sisters declare boldly. And let March know who you are.
AMEN
