Word for Today
What is purpose? Purpose is the divine assignment God has placed uniquely on your life. It is the intention that preceded your birth, the reason Heaven set your days in order, the very plan that shaped you even before you took your first breath.
And let me remind us today, every woman carries purpose just as profoundly as any man. You are not an afterthought. God has placed something real, powerful, and intentional inside of you, something no one else can fulfill, something that is yours and yours alone.
But here is a question we must wrestle with this morning, how often do we truly pause and ask God, “What have You called me to do?” Not what society expects, not what seems impressive, not what is convenient, but what He has written over your life.
Many of us are busy. We serve. We show up. We give, we lead, we care. Yet in the quiet of our hearts, we sometimes feel a gentle unease, like we’re moving, but not always in alignment with the design God placed within us. This is not a place of guilt or condemnation; it is a place of awakening. And today, we are awakening to walking in purpose.
Walking in purpose means living every moment with the awareness that you are here on assignment. It means refusing to drift through life unconsciously, choosing instead to move with intention, guided by the hand of God. It is the daily surrender: “Lord, lead me today. Help me not to waste what You’ve placed inside me.”
Purpose does not always arrive with fanfare. It may look like nurturing your children with wisdom. It may look like faithfully completing your work, even when unnoticed. It may look like speaking hope into the lives of the broken or obeying God in the hidden, everyday corners of your life.
But ladies, purpose must be sought, and purpose must be walked. God is not elusive. He is ready to guide you into the life He has uniquely crafted for you, step by step, gently but surely.
So today, pause, pray. And ask sincerely, “Lord, what have You placed inside of me, and how do I begin to walk in it?” Listen with expectation. Move with courage. And watch as He unfolds your path, revealing the extraordinary in your everyday life.
Blessings.
