Word For Today

You know most of us, we desire much, but can God trust you? Can He trust you with what He wants to do through you, or do for you? Do you even have the right attitude to carry or hold it?

Some of us, God hasn’t even shown you as powerful and deep as some of His well-respected children, but you’re already feeling like you own everything and you’re the only one that knows God. Some of us don’t even have much yet, but people can’t even look to you for help, and yet you’re shouting you want more.

You think God will give you fire to burn everyone and everything? You See, if you really want to gain much from God, you must first be trustworthy. Because it’s not just about receiving, it’s about how you handle what you receive. It’s about your heart, your character, your obedience when nobody is watching.

Let me ask us, what are we doing with what He has already given us? I think that should even be the first question. The little grace, the small opportunity, the relationships, the knowledge, how are you handling it? Because the truth is, many of us are not ready for the things we are always praying and asking for. We want big things, but we’ve not been faithful with small things.

Some of us, it’s even pride God is seeing. Some of us, it’s impatience. Some of us, if God answers that prayer now, it will destroy us instead of blessing us. God is not wicked, He is wise. I pray God opens our eyes and helps us see, and learn of Him.

But you know one thing I love about God? He will give you and show you, if you are willing and ready. He will not leave you confused when you’re walking with Him, except in some cases, and even that one, He has His reasons. And even in those moments, He is still working on you, building you, preparing you.

I’m not here this morning to make you feel somehow, but please, think about it. What is really in your heart concerning the things you’re trusting God for? If God answers you today, will it draw you closer to Him, or make you forget Him?

It’s simple, God gives more to those He can trust. And trust is built in the secret place, in the small things, in your daily walk with Him.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
make me a vessel You can trust. Teach me to be faithful in the little things, consistent in secret, and obedient even when it’s not easy. Purify my motives and align my heart with Yours. Help me walk in integrity and handle every assignment with care. Let my life bring You glory.
In Jesus name, Amen.
