IWM Devotion: Prayers For Women

Key Scripture: Psalm 72:5–17

INTRODUCTION

Today’s text is a powerful prayer of blessing that spans generations, releasing God’s favor, righteousness, peace, and prosperity. It reveals His heart for lives to flourish under His covering.

As we meditate on this scripture, we can turn it into intentional prayers, for ourselves as women, and for every role we carry as mothers, daughters, wives, and sisters, asking God to establish us in strength, honor, purpose, and divine protection.

Women carry influence, nurture destinies, and shape generations. So praying for ourselves is not optional, it is powerful and necessary. And as we pray, let’s be mindful to extend these prayers beyond ourselves, covering the women around us and those yet to come.


Let Us Pray

1. Father, draw our hearts into reverence for You
. May we walk in the fear of the Lord all our days, allowing Your presence to guide every decision we make.

2. Lord, establish us in righteousness. 
Let our lives reflect Your holiness, shaping our character and actions daily.

3. Prince of Peace, fill every woman with Your peace
. May we experience a deep, unshakable calm, no matter what life brings our way.

4. Father, empower us to walk in purpose. 
Help us rise into the fullness of all You have called us to be, never settling for less.

5. Lord, remind us of our worth
. May we be honored and valued, and never forget how precious we are in Your sight.

6. Mighty God, deliver women from every form of oppression. 
Break every chain of abuse, injustice, and manipulation, and bring true freedom.

7. Jehovah Jireh, be our provider
. Meet every need, financial, emotional, and spiritual, and sustain us daily.

8. Lord, preserve our lives
. Protect our health, guard our minds, and keep our destinies secure in You.

9. Father, cause us to flourish. 
Like well-watered gardens, may our lives be fruitful, vibrant, and ever growing.

10. Lord, surround us with favor
. Let doors open before us and divine opportunities find us.

11. Father, make our lives impactful
. May we touch lives, shape destinies, and leave a legacy that glorifies You.

12. Lord, raise voices that will pray for women
. Surround us with intercessors, and teach us to also stand in the gap for others.

Confession

We declare that we, and every woman around us, are blessed, strengthened, covered, and flourishing. We walk in righteousness, rise into our God-given purpose, and leave a lasting impact for His glory, in Jesus name. Amen.
