Word For Today
Healing seasons are not always obvious. Sometimes, it’s just you, slowing down, thinking deeply, and trying to understand what really happened and why it affected you the way it did.
And if we’re really honest, this season can feel uncomfortable. You’re no longer where you used to be, but you’re not yet where you want to be. You’re learning to let go, but some days it just still hurts. You’re trying to trust God, but you also have questions.
This is where trust becomes real. Oh Yes. Because trusting God in your healing season is not about having everything figured out. It’s about choosing to believe that God is still working in you, even when it feels slow, even when it’s quiet, even when it doesn’t make sense yet.
The Bible says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart. The truth is there are things you won’t understand immediately. Why it ended. Why it didn’t work. Why you had to go through it at all. But healing is not always about getting answers, it’s about becoming whole again.
Some days you’ll feel strong. Other days, something small will remind you of the past, and you’ll feel like you’re back at the beginning. That doesn’t mean you’re not healing. It just means you’re human. And that’s where your faith should come alive. Just try and trust God. God is not in a hurry with you. He is patient. He is gentle. He knows exactly where it hurts, and He knows how to restore you properly, not halfway, not temporarily, but full and completely.
So instead of rushing the process, learn to stay with God in it. Talk to Him honestly. Tell Him when you’re tired. Tell Him when you’re confused. Tell Him when you feel like giving up on love or even on yourself. That’s one thing about this, you need to sincerely let Him. And that’s what trust looks like, being real with God, not pretending.
Also, in your healing season, you may feel tempted to distract yourself, jump into something new, keep yourself busy, avoid thinking about it. But true healing doesn’t come from distraction. It comes from facing things with God and allowing Him to do a deep work in you.
Trusting God means you’re not forcing your way out, but you’re allowing Him to walk you through it. And one day, you’ll notice the difference. Believe this.
You’ll think about what used to hurt you, and it won’t have the same weight anymore. You’ll remember what broke you, and instead of pain, you’ll feel strength. You’ll look at yourself and realize, you’ve changed.
Not because time passed, but because God healed you. So don’t rush this season. Don’t compare your journey with someone else’s. And don’t lose hope on the days it feels slow. God is working, even now beloved. And when He is done, you won’t just be okay, you’ll be whole.
I pray for you, that the Lord will preserve your faith. May you walk closely with God in this season, carrying Him in every step you take, and may you experience His presence in a real and undeniable way. Amen.
Blessings
