IWM Devotion: Your safety is in the lord 
Scripture: “There is no [human] wisdom or understanding or counsel [that can prevail] against the Lord.”—Proverbs 21:30

Word For Today

Are you scared that someone who doesn’t like you, or who you think hates you, wants to harm you? Has anyone tried to challenge you and say bad things about you? And you’re panicked and bored?

My dear sister, I want you to know today that your safety is in the Lord. Our key scripture today makes us understand this so well. No plan other than God’s plans for you can stand in your life. And in verse 31b, it says, “but deliverance and victory are of the Lord.”

So why worry about what that person said? Why stress yourself over what God didn’t say about you or plan for you? I want you to totally have this mindset from today onward: that your safety is in the Lord. Your family, your marriage, your business, and your ministry are all with God.

All you need to do is always, always dwell in His presence. Trust God and take off your heart those words or negative plans by those enemies.

There’s a verse I love so much in the MSG version. It says, “You’ll stand untouched, because God is your refuge, the High God your very own home. Evil can’t get close to you, harm can’t get through the door. He ordered His angels to guard you wherever you go. He says, He will get you out of any trouble, give you the best of care, if you’ll only get to know and trust Him.”
(Psalm 91:8, 10, 11 & 14 — paraphrased)

So why worry yourself? Your safety is in the Lord. Stop stressing yourself. Seek God more, trust Him more, and you’re secured. Because He alone can deliver and help you. His plans for you are good, not evil.

Prayer

Lord, I commit my safety, my family, and everything concerning me into Your hands.  I pray that no plan against me will stand, because deliverance and victory belong to You.  Help me dwell in Your presence, trust You fully, and rest, knowing I am secure in You.  
In Jesus name, Amen.
